What is Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a highly beneficial non-surgical method which helps in hair regrowth. This is done by injecting approved ingredients (primarily vitamins, proteins & minerals) into the scalp to give a vitamin boost and improve blood circulation to the area. Better circulation allows your hair follicles to be better nourished which improve hair re-growth. For optimal results it is recommended that you take 6 to 8 sessions of mesotherapy.

This treatment works best for people having partial hair thinning, it will not work for those suffering from complete hair loss. For those suffering from complete hair loss, hair transplant is the only solution.

The Procedure

Mesotherapy is a non-invasive technique based on superficial microinjections, just below the epidermis, into the target tissues. Mesotherapy is a treatment that stimulates the mesoderm or middle layer of the skin (approx. 1 mm deep). This helps to relieve a wide variety of symptoms and ailments.

The solution injected can contain a wide range of minerals, vitamins, amino acids, nucleic acids and co-enzymes that can be tailored to each patient's individual needs. The treatment itself takes between 10 and 30 minutes depending on the extension of the area being treated.

Usually a minimum of 10 sessions is required to stimulate hair growth. We recommend starting with an intensive course of treatments every 2 weeks for the first 2-3 months. The frequency then gradually decreases and the results of hair rejuvenation become evident already after 2-3 months. In order to keep the results maintenance treatments are needed generally once every 2 to 3 months.

Later Progress

After the treatment, the area may be somewhat sore however this will subside over the coming week or two. Some areas may scab over; this is completely normal and part of the healing process. We normally recommend people have about a week off work to recover and recuperate from the surgery. Potential Risks or Complications

As with all operations, cosmetic surgery has certain risks. However, as the procedure is completely elective, the risks tend to be lower than that of surgery performed for health reasons.
