Renai 'Tonsils And Adenoids Ablation' MDT Meeting Ends

On the afternoon of March 8th, 2019, Shanghai Renai Hospital held a MDT(multidisciplinary team) meeting regarding tonsils and adenoids ablation under general anesthesia to be done on two foreign twin children. The attendees, including doctors, nurses and executives, under the coordination of medical affairs department, discussed in depth about the risks of anesthesia and operation, and nursing care after operation, which all came down to substantive plans.

Operation director of international department of Shanghai Renai Hospital, Ms. Fu Ying reminded every medical staff to treat it cautiously due to the particularities of language and age.

Pharyngitis Dr. Guo Peng, who would be in charge of the surgery, read out patients’ pre-surgery conditions and surgery plans. Another specialist in ear, nose and throat, Dr. Tang pointed out the difficulties in post-operative care such as medicines for the twins mustn’t be mixed and children would wake up in the night crying due to the pain. Therefore head of medical affairs Cai Dingyin and head of nurse Wang Hongxia commented that they would give full support to the care of patients. And drug usage would fall on specific pediatricians.

It’s reported that the surgery would be carried out on March 12nd.
